Delhi Protest Closes Two Namo Bharat Stations, Disrupts Travel

Two Namo Bharat stations in Delhi will temporarily close during a planned protest.

The stations are Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar.

They will be closed from 9 pm on October 9 until 10 pm on October 10, 2026.

Trains between Anand Vihar and Modipuram are still scheduled to run normally.

The protest is taking place at Jantar Mantar and is against a revision of electoral rolls.

Protest-related restrictions also affect Delhi Metro stations, railway services, and road traffic.

One report said 45 Metro stations had entry and exit restrictions, and 254 trains were cancelled during part of October 10.

Passengers were advised to plan ahead and make other arrangements if they need to reach the closed stations.
