Calcutta High Court Shields Abhishek Banerjee In Three FIRs

The Calcutta High Court temporarily said police cannot arrest Abhishek Banerjee in three cases.

The cases concern alleged medical problems at Sevashray healthcare camps.

The court said police must give him 48 hours’ notice before asking him to appear.

Banerjee must cooperate with the investigation.

The court will receive progress reports from police on November 23.

The protection will remain in place until November 30.

The judge questioned why several cases had been filed by the same person.

Lawyers for the complainant and the state said the complaints should still be investigated.

The court has not yet decided whether the allegations are true.
