MFs' Equity Investments Double to Rs 43,465 Crore in November
Mutual funds in India bought a lot more stocks in November than they did in October.
They invested Rs 43,465 crore in stocks last month, which is more than double the Rs 20,718 crore they invested in October.
This happened because more people are putting money into mutual funds, and the stock market was doing well.
However, mutual funds also sold a lot of debt investments, with Rs 72,201 crore taken out in November, up from Rs 12,771 crore in October.
People are also putting money into systematic investment plans (SIPs), which is a way to invest regularly.
Experts say this shows that investors are being smart by putting money into different types of investments to manage risk.
Mutual funds invested Rs 43,465 crore in equities in November, more than double the Rs 20,718 crore in October.
MFs were consistent buyers throughout November, except for two days when they pulled out Rs 2,473 crore.
Net outflows from debt funds increased to Rs 72,201 crore in November, up from Rs 12,771 crore in October.
SIP inflows hit an all-time high of Rs 29,529 crore in October, up from Rs 29,361 crore in September.
Experts note that investors are balancing long-term wealth-building strategies with risk management by diversifying into debt and gold.
