Uzbek Students Recite Modi’s Poems During Uzbekistan State Visit

Uzbek students performed poems written by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

They recited the poems in both Hindi and Uzbek.

One poem, “Abhi To Suraj Uga Hai,” compares a rising sun with hope and a new beginning.

It says people should keep moving forward even when life is difficult.

The students also performed poems about a confident new India, humanity and peace.

Modi said he felt emotional hearing the students express the poems’ feelings in Hindi.

He visited the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies during his two-day trip.

During the visit, India and Uzbekistan also agreed to strengthen their relationship.

Modi encouraged the translation of the ancient Tamil text Tirukkural into Uzbek.
