WACE Board Approved in India, Expanding Australian Education
Imagine Australia setting up its school system in India!
That's what's happening with WACE, a school board from Western Australia.
They've been given the official OK to operate in India, meaning Indian students can now study with the same qualifications as kids in Australia.
It's like a bridge, helping students go to universities all over the world.
WACE focuses on helping students learn lots of different skills, not just what's in textbooks.
Plus, it's designed to be less stressful than some other systems, with a mix of tests and schoolwork counting towards your final score.
Schools in Bengaluru and Bidar, India are the first ones to use this new system.
WACE is the first foreign government-backed school board to operate in India.
The board received equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities for its Class X and XII qualifications.
WAIS is the framework through which the WACE curriculum is delivered in international partner schools.
The curriculum aligns with India's National Education Policy 2020.
The ATAR score from WAIS is used for university applications globally.
