Fuel Prices See Major Changes

Fuel Prices See Major Changes

On January 1, 2026, the price of jet fuel, called ATF, was cut by 7.3% in Delhi.

This means it now costs ₹92,323.02 per kilolitre.

This cut helps airlines because fuel is a big part of their costs.

At the same time, the price of commercial LPG, used by hotels and restaurants, went up by ₹111 to ₹1,691.50 for a 19-kg cylinder.

The price of LPG for homes stayed the same at ₹853 per 14.2-kg cylinder.

Petrol and diesel prices have not changed since March 2025.

These changes happen every month based on global fuel prices and the exchange rate.

The price of oil has gone down a bit, but the need for heating in winter has made LPG more expensive worldwide.

Petrol and diesel prices vary across cities, with Delhi at ₹94.72 and ₹87.62 per litre, respectively, and Mumbai at ₹104.21 and ₹92.15 per litre, respectively.
