Teen Gunman Kills Nine in Deadly Bangkok School Shooting
On a Friday morning, a student at a school near Bangkok, Thailand, started shooting.
He was only 14 years old, the same age as many of his classmates.
Before going to school, he hurt his grandparents at their home.
At school, he hurt teachers and other workers.
In the end, nine people lost their lives and many more were hurt.
Students hid in their classrooms and were very scared.
Police found that he used many bullets and had even more with him.
The shooting made people talk about gun safety in Thailand.
Thailand has more guns than any other country in Southeast Asia.
Many people hope that something like this won't happen again.
A 14-year-old student shot and killed nine people, including three teachers and two school officials, at Debsirin Nonthaburi School near Bangkok before turning the gun on himself.
The alleged gunman first shot dead his grandparents at their home at dawn, then took a bus 18 km to the school and opened fire just before 10 a.m. local time.
Twenty-three people were wounded in what police called Thailand's worst mass shooting since 2022.
