Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Review: Premium, Pricey Upgrade
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is a phone that opens like a small book.
It has a smaller screen outside and a much bigger screen inside.
Samsung made it thinner and improved the hinge and materials.
The screens are bright, smooth, and useful for using several apps at once.
Videos do not fill the inside screen completely, so black bars appear around them.
Its cameras take very good pictures in daylight, but night photos and faraway subjects are less impressive.
The phone is very fast for games and everyday tasks, although it can get hot during long use.
Its battery can last a full day for many users.
It costs Rs 1,99,999 and does not support the S Pen, so it is best for buyers who want a premium foldable and can afford it.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is 1mm slimmer than its predecessor and uses a refined hinge, titanium frame, and Gorilla Glass Victus.
It has 6.5-inch and 8-inch 120Hz AMOLED displays, with strong brightness and multitasking performance but thick video bars on the inner screen.
The triple-camera system delivers excellent daylight photos and improved ultrawide images, while low-light and long-zoom results are weaker.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, it handles demanding apps, multitasking, and gaming smoothly but can become hot during extended use.
Priced at Rs 1,99,999, the phone offers a 5,000mAh battery and up to 10–12 hours of screen time but lacks S Pen support and IP68 protection.

Design and durability
Reasons to buy
The phone is slimmer, premium, comfortable to hold, and has Samsung’s least prominent crease yet, along with a refined hinge and titanium frame.
Reasons to reconsider
It remains IP48-rated while competing foldables reportedly offer IP68 protection, and the crease is still visible from some angles.
Performance and cameras
Reasons to buy
The device handles multitasking, demanding games, and everyday work smoothly; its main camera takes excellent daylight photos and the ultrawide camera is a major improvement.
Reasons to reconsider
The phone can become uncomfortably hot during extended gaming or camera use, while low-light photos and images beyond 3x optical zoom need improvement.

Buyers seeking Samsung’s slimmest book-style foldable and peak performance may find it meets their expectations, with up to 10–12 hours of screen time.
Reasons to reconsider
