Kasba Ganpati Temple Closing for Idol Restoration

The temple trust is going to clean the main idol, which has been covered with a thick layer of red sindoor paste for centuries.
This is the first time in 400 years that such work is being done on the idol.
The trust wants to preserve the idol and show its original form to the devotees.
The temple will reopen once the work is completed, and no changes will be made to the temple building itself.
The decision to apply a fresh layer of sindoor will be made after examining the idol's condition.
