Trump Asks Supreme Court To Lift Mail-In Voting Block

The Trump administration wants the Supreme Court to allow a new rule about mail-in voting to take effect.

A lower court had blocked the rule.

President Donald Trump signed the executive order in March.

The order would restrict the use of mail-in ballots.

Several legal challenges have been filed against it.

The administration made its request just before ballots are scheduled to be sent out.

The request also comes two months before the November midterm elections.

The Supreme Court will consider whether to lift the lower court’s block.
