Two electricity companies in Delhi have started a fast service for temporary power connections.
It is meant to help people organising festivals, weddings and other events.
People can apply on the companies’ websites or apps, or contact customer care.
They can also pay online.
A connection may be ready within 24 hours if the required paperwork is complete and the site can be connected safely.
BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and BSES Yamuna Power Limited have launched a ‘Tatkal’ service for temporary electricity connections.
The service is intended for Durga Puja celebrations, Ramlilas, Diwali melas, weddings and other events.
Applicants can apply through the discoms’ websites, mobile apps or customer care.
Online payment is available for the temporary connections.
Connections may be provided within 24 hours, subject to completed formalities and technical feasibility.
