PM Sudani Claims Victory in Iraqi Elections Amid Preliminary Results

Iraq's leader, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, says his team won the country's election.

Preliminary results show his group got the most votes.

People celebrated in the streets with fireworks.

Sudani said this win is for everyone in Iraq and shows people trust the government.

However, some people didn't vote.

They think these elections don't really change things for them and just help the same politicians keep control of the country's money, especially from oil.

Forming a new government will be a tough job because it usually takes time for parties to agree.

The new leader will have to fix problems like bad roads, poor schools, and fix corruption.

They also need to be careful to stay friends with both Iran and the United States.
