Manjhi Demands Rajya Sabha Seat
Jitan Ram Manjhi, a leader in the NDA alliance in Bihar, is asking for a seat in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India's parliament.
He says his party, the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), should get a seat because they did well in the recent state elections.
Manjhi even said he and his son, who is also a minister, might quit their jobs if they don't get the seat.
Other parties in the NDA alliance, like the BJP and JD(U), think it's too early to talk about this.
They say the central leadership will decide.
The NDA won most of the seats in the state elections, so they are likely to get all five Rajya Sabha seats that will be up for election next year.
