Mysuru Safari Activities to be Reduced Following Farmer Deaths
In Mysuru, the forest areas where people go on safaris will have fewer activities.
This is happening because some animals are coming out of the forest and near villages.
The Chief Minister said this is partly because more people are visiting the forests and building new places to stay.
He also mentioned that animals are looking for food and water.
Because three farmers sadly died recently, the Chief Minister wants to make the forests safer by reducing the number of safaris.
They will also look into places built in the forest that might not be allowed.
Mysuru Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ordered a reduction in safari activities in forest areas.
The decision follows the deaths of three farmers within two weeks in October.
Increased human presence and resort development in forests are cited as reasons for animals entering human settlements.
CM Siddaramaiah stated that animals are driven to villages in search of food and water.
Authorities will take action against illegal resorts and reduce safari operations.
