Bhiwandi Cracks Down on Fire Safety Violations
In Bhiwandi, the city government took strong action against two factories that weren't following fire safety rules.
They turned off the electricity and sealed the buildings because the factories didn't have the right safety equipment or permission from the fire department.
The government wants all factories and shops to follow the rules to keep people safe.
They warned that more strict actions will be taken if businesses don't fix these problems soon.
The factories were told to work with the government to make everything safe and legal.
BNCMC sealed two industrial units and cut their power for not having proper fire safety systems and Fire NOC.
The action was part of an ongoing drive to enforce fire safety regulations in Bhiwandi.
Notices were issued under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2006 (as amended in 2023) and the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Rules, 2025.
The units, M/s Excel Electrochem Technology and M/s Crescent India Pvt. Ltd., were found non-compliant during a joint operation on July 16.
BNCMC urged all establishments to comply with fire safety norms and other statutory requirements to avoid further action.
