CIDCO Sets September 15 Deadline for Navi Mumbai Metro Refunds
Navi Mumbai Metro used to accept a type of card called a closed-loop card.
Those cards were stopped after a new National Common Mobility Card was introduced.
The old cards are now deactivated.
They cannot be used to pay for metro rides anymore.
Some passengers may still have money left on their old cards.
CIDCO says they can ask for that money back.
They must complete the refund process by September 15.
CIDCO is asking people not to wait until the final day.
CIDCO has asked Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 commuters to claim unused balances on discontinued closed-loop cards by September 15.
The old cards were discontinued and deactivated after the SBI National Common Mobility Card was introduced.
The National Common Mobility Card began operating on the Belapur-Pendhar corridor from June 3 this year.
Closed-loop cards can no longer be used for travel or fare payments at stations on the route.
CIDCO advised passengers to begin the refund process early to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
