Indian Stock Market Falls Sharply
On January 8, 2024, the Indian stock market had a bad day.
The Sensex and Nifty 50 both fell a lot.
The Sensex dropped by 1%, and the Nifty 50 fell below 26,000 points.
This happened because investors were worried about many things.
Foreign investors were selling a lot of shares, and there were concerns about the global economy and politics.
Also, the prices of metals like silver fell, which made metal companies like Hindustan Zinc lose value.
Some stocks like Alkyl Amines Chemicals and India Cements did well, but most stocks went down.
