Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Demands Higher Land Acquisition Prices
In Bhopal, a group called Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) wants the government to pay farmers four times the current price when they take their land for development.
Right now, farmers get two times the guideline price, but BKS says this isn't enough because land prices are going up.
They want the government to pay more so that farmers can buy new land if theirs is taken.
A group of ministers is looking at this issue and will soon give their advice to the government.
Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) demands four times the guideline price for land acquisition in Madhya Pradesh.
Current compensation is two times the guideline price, which BKS argues is insufficient due to rising land prices.
BKS supports development but wants fair compensation for farmers to prevent them from becoming laborers.
Several other states already pay four times the guideline price, and BKS wants Madhya Pradesh to adopt the same formula.
A ministerial committee, including PWD Minister Rakesh Singh, Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silawat, and MSME Minister Chetanya Kashyap, will submit its report to the government soon.
