Gujarat Schoolchildren Join 87th Fit India Cycling Initiative
Schoolchildren in Gandhinagar spent Sunday morning exercising and learning.
They warmed up and took part in a push-up challenge.
They also played games such as badminton, volleyball, carrom and chess.
Some students performed songs and dances for the group.
Another student explained basic ideas about money and finance.
Later, everyone rode bicycles around the sports campus.
The activity was part of the 87th Fit India Sundays on Cycle event.
Similar cycling activities happened in more than 18,000 places across India.
Students from two Gandhinagar schools joined the 87th Fit India Sundays on Cycle.
The event combined cycling with fitness training, sports, cultural performances and financial-awareness activities.
Children competed in push-ups and played badminton, volleyball, carrom, chess and train box.
Students cycled through the Sports Authority of India’s National Centre of Excellence campus.
The nationwide drive reportedly involved more than 18,000 locations, including a BRICS cycling event in Visakhapatnam.
