Luis Suárez Suspended for Crucial Inter Miami Playoff Game
A star soccer player named Luis Suárez for the team Inter Miami got suspended and fined.
This means he can't play in a very important game on Saturday that will decide if his team continues in the playoffs.
The league, called Major League Soccer, decided this because Suárez kicked another player, Andy Nájar, during a game last weekend.
Even though the referees didn't call a penalty during the game, the league's special committee reviewed it and decided it was bad behavior.
Inter Miami said they respect the decision but are worried that the league is looking back at plays that were already handled.
If Inter Miami loses this Saturday's game, their season is over, and now they have to play without Suárez.
This isn't the first time Suárez has faced a suspension for his actions on the field.
Luis Suárez of Inter Miami has been suspended for Saturday's decisive MLS playoff match against Nashville SC.
The suspension stems from 'violent conduct' where Suárez kicked Nashville's Andy Nájar in a previous game.
Inter Miami accepted the MLS Disciplinary Committee's decision but expressed concern about re-refereeing past plays.
Inter Miami defender Ian Fray was also fined for simulation or embellishment during the same match.
Inter Miami must win Saturday's game to avoid season elimination.
