Acharya Prashant Engages IIT Students in Philosophy
Acharya Prashant, a famous philosopher, recently spoke at four top engineering schools in India: IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Bombay.
These talks were very popular, with big crowds and long discussions.
Students and teachers asked about many important topics like fear, career choices, relationships, and self-understanding.
The talks went on much longer than planned because everyone was so interested.
After the official talks, many students stayed to talk more with Acharya Prashant.
This shows that even engineering students, who are usually very focused on their careers, are also interested in deep questions about life and purpose.
More schools are planning to invite Acharya Prashant for similar talks.
Acharya Prashant spoke at four IITs (Hyderabad, Kharagpur, Madras, Bombay) between October and December.
Each session drew a packed house and ran longer than scheduled, with students engaging deeply.
Topics included fear, career choices, relationships, self-understanding, gender, and freedom.
Students continued informal discussions late into the night at some institutions.
The sessions suggest a growing interest in philosophical engagement among engineering students.
