Punjab Police Launches Helpline to Combat Organized Crime
The Punjab Police has set up a special phone line, like a hotline, for people to report crimes.
This is to help stop bad guys who are involved in things like intimidation and extortion.
Anyone can call the toll-free number, 1800-330-1100, and tell the police what they know, and they don't even have to give their name.
The police chief, Gaurav Yadav, wants everyone to know that all calls will be kept secret.
When someone calls, the police will take action right away.
This new helpline uses the same system as the 112 helpline, but specially trained officers will handle the calls.
Punjab Police launched helpline 1800-330-1100 to report organized crime.
The helpline aims to provide a confidential way for citizens to report incidents.
It is managed by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF).
The DGP assured that all information will be kept confidential.
