The CID is investigating alleged problems in recruitment through the Karnataka Public Service Commission.

An arrested IAS officer, Gyanendra Kumar, is accused of receiving warnings from influential people.

Investigators say he travelled through several places after enforcement officials searched locations connected to the case.

He reportedly stayed in Sri Lanka briefly with friends.

He was later questioned by the CID and arrested.

Investigators are examining possible connections among officials, politicians and other people.
