India Overtakes China in iPhone Exports to US
India is now sending more iPhones to the U.S. than China.
This is because the U.S. put a big tax on iPhones from China, making it cheaper to get them from India.
Apple started making iPhones in India to avoid these taxes and also to diversify its supply chain after issues during the pandemic.
The U.S. needs about 20 million iPhones each quarter, and India is working to make more, but it might take a while to meet that goal.
India has surpassed China in iPhone exports to the U.S.
India's iPhone exports to the U.S. increased 76% year-on-year.
India exported approximately 3 million iPhones to the U.S. in April.
A 30% tariff on Chinese products by the U.S. has impacted exports.
