Punjab School Introduces Screen-Free Coding for Primary Students
Imagine learning to code, but without using computers!
A school in Punjab started a new program where kids learn coding concepts using fun activities like cards and puzzles.
This helps them understand how computers think and solve problems.
The program focuses on learning with hands-on activities to help kids' brains develop.
It aims to get kids ready for the future by teaching them to think logically and creatively.
Many schools will start using this program soon.
Guru Harkrishan Public School (GHPS) in Amritsar, Punjab, launched a screen-free coding program for primary students.
The initiative is a pilot program across four schools within the Chief Khalsa Diwan network.
The program was developed by Manbir Bedi, Director of the Primary Plus Group.
Teachers were trained in tactile activities to teach coding concepts without screens.
The goal is to expand the program to all schools under the Chief Khalsa Diwan in the next academic year.
