Revanth Reddy Seeks Podcars for Hyderabad’s Congested Areas
Hyderabad’s Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, wants officials to look into small podcars that could help people travel through crowded areas.
The vehicles would run on elevated tracks and carry three to six people.
Officials are to find routes that connect homes and workplaces with trains and buses.
The Chief Minister also wants several road projects to move faster.
One project is a flyover between Nagarjuna Circle and Jubilee Hills Check Post.
Officials will also study possible road improvements near a proposed bullet train corridor.
The government is planning to reuse 500 million litres of treated water each day.
That water could serve new developments, data centres, industries, parks and tall buildings.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy asked officials to explore personal rapid transit podcars for congested parts of Hyderabad.
Officials were told to identify suitable corridors linking residential and industrial hubs with Metro Rail, MMTS and bus stations.
He called for faster flyover and underpass work, including the Nagarjuna Circle–Jubilee Hills Check Post flyover.
Officials were asked to study a possible radial road near the proposed Hyderabad-Mumbai bullet train corridor and road improvements between Shankarpally and Chevella.
Plans to use 500 million litres per day of recycled water include supplies to Bharat Future City, data centres and industrial sites.
