Dubai to Launch Robotaxis by Early 2026
Dubai is getting ready to have self-driving taxis, called robotaxis, on its roads!
They're currently testing these robotaxis in a special area of the city.
These tests involve 60 vehicles from different companies.
The goal is to launch these robotaxis for everyone to use by early 2026.
In the future, Dubai plans to have many types of self-driving vehicles, like buses and boats, all connected in a special zone.
This is part of Dubai's plan to have a quarter of its transportation be smart and driverless by 2030.
Dubai will launch driverless robotaxis by the first quarter of 2026.
Pilot tests are underway in Dubai Silicon Oasis.
60 vehicles are involved in the pilot tests.
The project aims to have 25% of Dubai's transportation be driverless by 2030.
A 15-kilometer Dubai Autonomous Zone will integrate self-driving vehicles.
