Singapore to Host First International Amateur Pickleball Championship with $50,000 Prize
Get ready for a big pickleball party in Singapore!
In 2026, they will host a special tournament just for players who aren't pros, called the Epic World Championship.
It's the first time something like this is happening.
There will be at least $50,000 given away as prizes, and maybe even more as people sign up to play.
Over 1,000 players from all over the world are expected to come and compete.
The person organizing it wants everyone, not just super-skilled players, to have a chance to play in a fun competition.
Think of it like a big race that anyone can join.
While players pay to enter, people who just want to watch won't need tickets.
Singapore will host the inaugural Epic World Championship, an international amateur pickleball tournament.
The event is scheduled from April 30 to May 3, 2026, at the Kallang Tennis Hub.
A minimum prize purse of US$50,000 is guaranteed, with potential to increase based on player registrations.
Organizers anticipate over 1,000 amateur players from around the globe to participate.
The Singapore Tourism Board is officially supporting the event as part of a three-year partnership with Epic.
