Jharkhand CM Honors Statehood Leader Nirmal Mahato
Jharkhand's Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, recently honored Nirmal Mahato, a leader who fought for Jharkhand to become its own state.
This was on Mahato's 75th birthday.
Soren put flowers on a statue of Mahato and spoke about how important Mahato was to the state's history.
Mahato was sadly killed by unknown people in 1987.
