Chennai to install 100 digital air quality sensor boards

The Greater Chennai Corporation is putting up 100 digital boards around the city to show how clean or polluted the air is.

These boards will give people real-time information about the air quality in their areas.

The project costs about Rs 6.36 crore and will be finished by the end of February.

Each board will show 19 different things, like how much bad stuff is in the air and the weather.

The goal is to help people understand how their actions affect the air and encourage them to do things that are better for the environment.

This will also help the city make better plans to keep the air clean and make life better for everyone in Chennai.
