Tejas MK-2 to Get Meteor Missile, Uttam Radar
The Indian Air Force is upgrading the Tejas MK-2 fighter jet with new weapons.
This jet will get the Meteor missile, a very advanced missile that can hit targets far away.
This missile uses a special engine to fly very fast.
The Tejas MK-2 will also have a new radar called Uttam that can spot targets from a long distance.
These upgrades will allow the Tejas MK-2 to compete with other top fighter jets like the Rafale and strike first.
The combination of the missile and radar will give Indian pilots a big advantage in fights.
The Tejas MK-2 will be equipped with the Meteor missile, enhancing its air-to-air attack capabilities.
The Meteor missile features a ramjet engine, active radar seeker, and a two-way data link.
The Uttam AESA radar, using Gallium Nitride technology, will be integrated into the Tejas MK-2.
The Meteor missile's strike range exceeds 100 km and can realistically reach 200 km.
This development positions the Tejas MK-2 as a competitor to the Rafale.
