Meta Unveils VR Glasses, Camera-Free Audio Glasses and Muse AI
Meta showed several new gadgets at its Connect event.
The main product is a pair of VR glasses costing $1,299.
They can follow a person’s eyes and hand movements, so controllers are less important.
They can show virtual work screens, movies and hologram-like video calls.
A small device called Muse Charm lets people talk to Meta’s AI without opening a phone.
Meta has not said how much the Muse Charm will cost.
Meta also announced camera-free glasses that play music, make calls and connect users with an AI assistant.
Another updated pair of Ray-Ban glasses will still include a camera and will cost at least $449.
The products are part of Meta’s effort to build AI agents, virtual-reality devices and smart glasses.
Meta announced $1,299 VR Glasses with eye tracking, hand gestures, AI interaction and holographic calls for spring 2027.
The VR Glasses weigh about 100 grams and use an external module containing the processor, battery and storage.
Muse Charm is a portable keychain-style device for accessing Meta’s Muse AI agent without a smartphone; its price remains undisclosed.
Ray-Ban Meta Audio camera-free glasses will launch from $349, with shipping reported for October 13 and audio features including calls, music and AI assistance.
Meta also introduced third-generation camera-equipped Ray-Ban Meta glasses starting at $449, with a 12-megapixel camera and enhanced AI features.
