Israel Blasts Hezbollah Tunnel Network in Southern Lebanon
Israel's army used a huge explosion to blow up a secret tunnel system that Hezbollah had built under the ground in southern Lebanon.
The tunnels were used by Hezbollah to plan attacks on Israel.
Israel said the blast was a warning that it would not let Hezbollah break a ceasefire.
The Israeli leaders also said soldiers would stay in the area to keep it safe.
Hezbollah has not yet said anything about the explosion.
IDF detonated ~700 tonnes of explosives to destroy a Hezbollah tunnel complex near Beaufort, Lebanon.
The tunnel system, built over two decades with Iranian funding, served as a Hezbollah headquarters and launch point for attacks on northern Israel.
The operation followed a ceasefire violation when Hezbollah allegedly launched an explosive drone at an Israeli engineering vehicle.
Israeli leaders said the blast would deter future Hezbollah attacks and that troops would remain in the southern Lebanon security zone.
Hezbollah has not yet responded to the destruction, while secondary explosions continued in Nabatieh and Marjayoun districts.
