President's Rule in Manipur Extended for Six Months
Imagine Manipur is a state that needs extra help.
The President, who's like the principal of the country, has decided the state government isn't working well, so he's stepping in.
This is called President's Rule.
This means the President takes over and makes the rules, with help from the Governor, like the class monitor.
This special help will continue for six more months, starting August 13, 2025.
It was put in place because the previous leader had quit.
President's Rule in Manipur has been extended for six months, effective from August 13, 2025.
The extension was approved after a resolution was introduced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The President's Rule was initially imposed in February after the chief minister resigned.
