Gujarat HC Extends Tax Filing Deadline for Audited Cases
The government has moved the deadline for filing your taxes if you need a tax audit.
If your business makes a lot of money, or you're a professional with high earnings, you usually need a tax audit to check your finances.
Due to natural disasters, it was hard for some people to finish their taxes on time.
So, the deadlines were extended to give everyone more time.
If you have an audit, you now have until October 31, 2025.
The final filing is November 30, 2025.
Make sure you understand the rules and file on time to avoid any problems!
The Gujarat High Court directed the extension of ITR filing for audited cases to November 30, 2025.
The CBDT had previously extended the tax audit report (TAR) deadline to October 31, 2025.
Extensions followed appeals from industry bodies citing disruptions.
Tax audits are required for businesses over ₹1 crore in turnover and professionals with over ₹50 lakh in gross receipts.
Penalties apply for missing the audit deadline.
