Bengaluru Police Bust Gang Promising 'Currency Shower' to Cheat Businessmen
Imagine some people who pretend to be very special holy men.
They tell rich business people that they can make money rain from the sky!
To do this, they ask the business people to give them money and special items for a magic ritual.
The ritual usually happens near water.
While the business person is busy doing a ritual like dipping in water or cutting a lemon, the fake holy men and their helpers sneak away with all the money.
The police found out because some of the stolen money had fake serial numbers when they tried to put it in the bank.
The police are now trying to find all the business people who were tricked.
Bengaluru police arrested a 10-member gang for cheating businessmen with fake 'currency shower' promises.
The gang used fake swamis who claimed to invoke rain of currency notes.
