Pakistan Tests Extended Fatah-4 Cruise Missile With Longer Range
Pakistan’s army says it tested an extended version of a missile called Fatah-4.
The missile is launched from the ground and was developed in Pakistan, according to the army.
The army says it can reach targets at longer distances with high precision.
It also says the missile uses navigation and other equipment to help it operate.
The test checked parts of the system linked to accuracy and survivability.
Army officers, scientists, and engineers watched the launch.
Pakistan’s president, prime minister, army chief, and service chiefs praised the test.
One report also says Pakistan successfully tested the Fatah-IV in May.
Pakistan’s army said it successfully test-fired an extended version of the Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile on Tuesday.
The army described the missile as indigenously developed and capable of engaging long-range targets with high precision and lethality.
It said advanced avionics and navigational aids support the weapon system’s extended-range capability.
The test validated technical parameters of subsystems intended to improve accuracy and survivability.
