Blue Star Detects Data Breach, Reports Q3 Profit Decline
Blue Star, a company, found out that someone got into their computer system without permission.
They are working with experts to fix it.
Also, they made less money in the last three months because they had to pay a big one-time cost related to new labor rules.
They told everyone about these things to be open and honest.
Blue Star detected unauthorized access to product installation data on January 31, 2026.
The company engaged cybersecurity experts to assess the impact and conduct a root-cause analysis.
Blue Star reported a 39% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for Q3 FY26.
The decline in profitability was due to a one-time exceptional charge of ₹56.35 crore related to gratuity and leave encashment.
The company will revisit the provision in March 2026 once there is greater clarity on the new Labour Codes.
