Karthika Vanabhojanam Celebrated Grandly with Pilgrims at Tirumala
Imagine a big picnic in a beautiful forest in Tirumala!
Many people, called pilgrims, went to a special place called Parveta Mandapam.
A decorated statue of a god, Sri Malayappa Swamy, was paraded on a big elephant float, with His two goddesses on a pretty palanquin.
Lots of music and dancing happened along the way.
Then, the priests did some special ceremonies for the statues.
After that, everyone, young and old, sat together under the Amla trees and shared a big meal.
It was a happy and colorful day celebrating a special event called Karthika Vanabhojanam.
The annual Karthika Vanabhojanam was celebrated with grand arrangements by the TTD in Tirumala.
Hundreds of pilgrims gathered at the Parveta Mandapam lawns for the community dining event.
