India to Release Commemorative Coins: ₹1,000 & ₹100
The Indian government is making special coins.
One will be worth ₹1,000 and honors an old king named Rajendra Chola, who was a great sailor.
The other coin will be ₹100 and celebrates a religious leader, Acharya Shri Mahapragya.
Both coins are made of silver and look the same size, just with different pictures.
They are legal money, but you can't use them like regular coins in shops.
You have to get them from special places.
The Indian government will release two commemorative coins: ₹1,000 and ₹100.
The ₹1,000 coin commemorates the 1,000-year naval expedition of Emperor Rajendra Chola - I.
The ₹100 coin marks the 105th birth anniversary of Acharya Shri Mahapragya.
