Principal Suspended for Negligence in Telangana College
The principal of a girls' junior college in Telangana has been suspended because she did not take care of important problems in the school.
The students were very unhappy because the toilets in their hostel were in bad condition and there was not enough drinking water.
They protested to ask for help.
The school had money to fix these problems, but the principal did not use it properly.
So, the higher authorities decided to suspend her for not doing her job well.
T. Kalpana, Principal of Telangana Girijan Welfare Girls Junior College (TGTWURJC-G), Kothaguda, has been suspended for dereliction of duty.
The suspension follows a student protest on July 16 over poor hostel conditions and lack of drinking water.
An inquiry found serious lapses in the administration, including negligence in supervising repairs and utilizing sanctioned funds.
Rs 7 lakh was sanctioned in April 2026 for repairs, but the principal failed to address the issues.
The suspension is effective immediately due to gross negligence in discharging duties.
