AAP Challenges Delhi CM's Yamuna Water Claim
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi is arguing with the Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta.
The Chief Minister said that a special pond made for a festival called Chhath Puja has water from the Yamuna River.
But the AAP says this is not true.
They say the water actually comes from a place that cleans water, not the river.
The AAP leader even shared a video and a news report to show that workers at the pond said the water was brought in through a pipe.
They also said the ground was dry before the pond was made, so the water couldn't have come from the river.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta claimed the artificial pond at Vasudev Ghat for Chhath Puja contains water from the Yamuna River.
AAP President Saurabh Bharadwaj disputed this claim, calling it false and challenging the Chief Minister to visit the site.
Bharadwaj stated the water was actually filtered water from a Water Treatment Plant, supported by workers' statements and a media report.
Workers at the site indicated the water was supplied via a green pipe from a treatment plant, with a plastic sheet laid down to hold water.
The AAP shared a video of the Chief Minister's interview and a media report contradicting her claim.
