President Murmu releases Santhali Constitution

President Droupadi Murmu released the Constitution of India in the Santhali language on December 25 at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Santhali is an ancient language spoken by many tribal people in states like Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar.

It was added to the Constitution's Eighth Schedule in 2003.

The president said it's a proud moment for Santhali people to have the Constitution in their own language, written in the Ol Chiki script.

She thanked the Law and Justice Minister and his team for this effort.

Important people like the Vice President and the Law Minister were present at the event.
