Tata Trusts Form Committee to Select Next Tata Sons Chairman

A very big company group in India called Tata is getting a new leader.

The current leader, N Chandrasekaran, has decided to stop in February 2027.

Tata Trusts, the part that owns most of the group, is putting together a special committee to pick the next leader.

Tata makes many things people use, like cars, steel, phones and airplane services.

The new leader will be in charge of the whole group.

Tata is currently building new things like computer chips and electric cars.

Chandrasekaran has been the leader of Tata since 2017.

Possible new leaders include people who run Tata's steel and power companies.

Many people are watching this decision closely because Tata is worth over 150 billion dollars.

The new leader needs to keep Tata growing and also get along well with the trusts.
