Kruger National Park closes due to severe floods

Kruger National Park in South Africa had to close its gates to day visitors because of really bad floods.

The floods happened because of lots of heavy rain that made the rivers overflow.

The water was moving very fast, and some roads inside the park were closed.

People who were already staying in lodges inside the park could stay, except for those near the Letaba river, who had to leave.

The park officials said they weren't too worried about the animals because they usually move to higher ground when there's flooding.

Some tourists thought it was interesting to see the floods and enjoyed watching the water from their lodges.

The park will stay closed for at least 24 hours to see how the situation improves.

Scientists say that floods like this are happening more often and are worse because of climate change, which makes the storms in the Indian Ocean stronger.
