Mumbai Metro Yellow Line: Boosting Connectivity in Western Mumbai
The Mumbai Metro Yellow Line is like a new set of trains that will help people get around the city faster, especially in the western suburbs.
It has two main parts: Line 2A, which is already running, and Line 2B, which is still being built.
The new trains will go from the western suburbs to the east side, including the Bandra-Kurla Complex, which is like a big office area.
This means less traffic and faster travel for everyone!
The trains will come every few minutes and cost between 10 and 80 rupees.
Mumbai Metro Yellow Line consists of Lines 2A and 2B, serving the western suburbs and connecting to BKC.
Line 2A, from Dahisar East to DN Nagar, is operational since 2023.
Line 2B, from DN Nagar to Mandale via BKC, is under construction with phased openings expected between 2025 and 2026.
The Yellow Line aims to ease traffic congestion and reduce commute times.
