Donyi Polo Airport and Star Air Win Awards at Wings India 2026

Donyi Polo Airport in Arunachal Pradesh and Star Air, a regional airline, both won big awards at the Wings India 2026 event in Hyderabad.

The airport won for being the best under a special program called RCS-UDAN, which helps connect different regions by air.

The airport started operating in late 2022 and now has flights to Delhi and Kolkata.

Star Air won the 'Best Airline – Regional/UDAN Connectivity' award for its work in connecting smaller cities and towns.

The airline has been flying for six years and has carried nearly 3 million passengers.
