Adani's Project Utthan to Improve Education for Mumbai Students
Imagine a project called 'Utthan' in Mumbai schools, helping kids learn the basics of reading and math.
It's like a special program where Adani Foundation and Adani Electricity are working with the city to help over 150,000 students in many schools.
They want to make sure every child gets a good start in their education.
This project has been around since 2021 and has already helped a lot of kids learn better and enjoy school more.
They will hire people to help the teachers.
This big project will keep going for a few more years, helping even more kids learn important skills.
Adani Foundation and Adani Electricity signed a Letter of Agreement with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for Project 'Utthan'.
The project aims to improve Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills for 1.5 lakh students in 947 municipal schools in Mumbai.
Project Utthan, a CSR initiative, aligns with the central government’s NIPUN Bharat Mission and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The project will expand from academic years 2025-26 to 2027-28 to cover Grades 1 to 4 across the schools.
316 trained female 'Utthan Sahayaks' will be appointed to support students academically.
