Centre and NSCN-K (Niki) Extend Nagaland Ceasefire Until 2027

The Centre and the NSCN-K (Niki) group agreed to continue stopping fighting for another year.

Their ceasefire will now last until September 7, 2027.

Representatives from both sides signed the agreement on Monday.

The agreement is meant to help bring lasting peace to Nagaland.

It also says that Naga people should be involved in the peace process.

Both sides must follow rules they agreed to earlier.

They can review and change those rules together.

The group first signed a ceasefire with the Centre in 2021.
