Delhi Satya Niketan Collapse Triggers Probe Into Safety Lapses

A building used as student housing collapsed in Delhi.

It was much taller than the construction permission reportedly allowed.

People had noticed cracks, dampness, and water problems before it fell.

Repair work was also happening in the basement and on the ground floor.

Investigators are checking whether the repairs and extra floors made the building unsafe.

They are also looking into why the building did not have a proper emergency exit.

News18 reported that six people died and 11 were rescued.

A nearby building was emptied because officials feared it could also collapse.

Police and government officials are investigating who was responsible and whether safety rules were ignored.
